LaRian Finney has been a top tier marketing, branding, and event planner for the past 20 years with Eastman Kodak, National Basketball Association’s Washington Wizards, Johnson & Johnson, Visionary Marketing Group, and The Finn Group.

His vast experience has led to his spearheading successful campaigns for the 1996 Summer Olympics, the NAACP National Conventions (2000-2010), the National Urban League Convention (2004-2016), General Motors, the African-American Heritage Festival (2000-2010), Maryland Tourism, Aerotek, U.S. Cellular, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated National Convention (2009-Current), and DC Metro.

Mr. Finney started The Finn Group in 2012 after 11 successful years of leading Visionary Marketing Group. With a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, Mr. Finney has developed and pioneered ground- breaking events such as The Hip Hop Presidential Inaugural Ball with Russell Simmons (2008 &2013), Jazzy Summer Nights (25,000), the African-American Heritage Festival (200,000), and the Black CEO Summit. Each event was specifically designed and executed to provide access to opportunity and lifestyle enhancements for the clients and customers.

Mr. Finney is recognized as one of the true event, marketing, and branding visionaries. With an unwavering commitment to giving back, Mr. Finney has served on the following boards: Baltimore’s Area Convention and Visitors Association (Visit Baltimore), Associated Black Charities, The Bluford Drew Jemision STEM Academy. Mr. Finney currently serves on the following boards: University of Maryland Children’s Hospital, The Baltimore Child Abuse Center, Bowie State University, and the Johns Hopkins Urban Health Institute.
